Brand Photography
What is Brand Photography?
Brand photography is about creating a set of eye-catching images that represent you and your business in a professional and consistent manner. It’s not about formal, stiff headshots; it’s about capturing your personality and connecting potential customers or clients to you and everything that your business is about.
Why does this matter for a small business?
Firstly, it adds credibility. High-quality photos give the impression that your business is serious and trustworthy. Customers are more likely to engage with a business that looks professional.
Secondly, it helps you grab attention. Good visuals are eye-catching. Whether you’re showcasing your products or services, striking images can make people stop scrolling and take notice.
Moreover, brand photography sets you apart from the competition. When your business has a distinct and consistent visual style, it becomes more memorable. Customers should recognize your brand just by looking at your photos.
And don’t forget the power of social media. People love sharing visually appealing content. If your photos stand out, they’re more likely to be shared, giving your business a wider reach.
In essence, brand photography is about creating a visual identity that grabs customers attention, makes your small business look professional, distinct, and shareable. It’s an investment that can significantly contribute to your business’s success.

What should I expect when I make an enquiry with you?
When I receive your enquiry, I will suggest that we arrange a zoom call to talk through your requirements and ‘meet’ each other. I will send you a link to a short questionnaire to look at and start completing before we speak (or you can download it using the button below). This is designed as a starting point for you to identify what sort of photos you need and how we might approach the photoshoot.
We will then have a zoom call when I answer any questions you may have, we get to know each other, I enquire about your business and make some suggestions about how we would approach the shoot. There is no obligation to go ahead with the booking before or after this call.
If you would like to go ahead and book the photoshoot following the zoom call, we will confirm the date, firm up the plan for the shoot and in most cases I am happy to identify a suitable venue or location in the Bath/Chippenham area if your home isn’t appropriate.
How do you approach the brand photoshoot and help put me at ease?
As we’ve already met on the zoom call, you should already feel like you know me to a certain degree and know what to expect from the shoot having planned it out together. This alone helps a lot with nerves.
I make sure we don’t rush into the shoot too quickly and take some time to give you some general tips about how we can achieve natural shots. We will chat away as we work through the shots, and I’ll direct you also.
You don’t need to come to the shoot knowing how to pose at all – leave that to me! I find that just chatting and working through the shot list helps to put clients at ease so don’t expect me to jump around doing crazy things to make you smile!
It tends to happen more naturally than you may think.
What happens after the brand photoshoot and how do I receive my photos?
During the photoshoot I will take LOTS of photos and aim to capture a lot of variety in the shots so that you have lots to choose from and they can be used in lots of different ways to help to grow your business.
I will edit the best to make them look even more polished and professional and send them to you via an online gallery.
You can download the photos and use them for your business as you wish. I only ask that you don’t send them onto other businesses for their use without contacting me first to discuss.
A photo credit is always appreciated if you remember also. I may like to post some of the photos for my own marketing but would never do so without your permission.
“Being a photographer myself, I had a clear idea of the style of image I wanted and Jen just totally got it. She worked hard to find the right locations and settings and advised on suitable props! We had a great morning and I am thrilled with the images that Jen took. I truly believe she captured “me” and the essence of my work.”
